Third-Party Cookies and Internet Freedom

One piece of fallout from this absurd criminal prosecution is that it established a legal precedent making third-party cookies illegal. Third party cookies are an engineering fundamental of Internet commerce, and practically every company that has ever engaged in an Internet related business could arguably face criminal prosecution based on this precedent.

If you are as concerned as I am about this, consider contacting the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
