Using the let function to simplify matters, this function allows a developer to take the contents of a date field and spell it out in its entirety in a calculated text field.

One of the advantages of doing this is that one can "color coat" the text field based on the Day using the DayofWeek function within FileMaker. To do this, a separate Case statement can be added with separate RGB values for each day of the week.

This can be done in one line of code.

DayName(datefield) & ", " & MonthName(datefield) & " " & Day(datefield) & ", " & Year(datefield)
