  Sample input:
kentekenFormat ("12gh34") or
kentekenFormat ("01gbb1")
  Sample output:
12-GH-34 or

  Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

This function converts 6 character 'dutch' licenceplates according the current convensions.

Use this with the auto-enterfunction checking the box to override current value.

At first it strips any none alphabetical en nummerral characters
Based on the criterium 'new' it wil add dashes at the appropiate places
