I find MakeUppercase() to be a bit static, is there a way to do this conversion based on ASCII or Unicode values?

And preforably inside a loop that is, that way different character sets could have different ranges.

Am I missing something here? Couldn't you just use FileMaker's "Upper" function and skip all the substitutions? There's no point to this cf.

Upper() just applies a format that displays the text in upper case. Like bold or italic. When you export the text, you loose the formatting and the text reverts to however you typed it in. Depressing when you have a LOT of stuff that you used for a long time using Upper().

Upper() works just fine for exporting. TextStyleAdd( text ; Uppercase ) exhibits the behavior you describe, but not Upper(). This is a redundant custom function with Upper().
