  Sample input:
Date_Format( 06/21/2007 )
  Sample output:
Thursday, 21st June 2007

  Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

When you want to format date in non-date field.


Example: When you have date and text fields combined in one merged field, you can't change date format. However, you can create another calculation field with already formatted date in, and put that calculation field in merged field.
