Generate random numbers within a range and specified number of decimal places

If ( Trunk = 0 ; Truncate ( Random * ((To + 1) - From) ; Trunk ) + From ; Truncate ( Random * (To - From) ; Trunk ) + From ) Click to copy

This function returns a random number within a specified range. The From and To parameters need not be integers. Enter 0 (zero) as the Trunk parameter to return integer results.

This is the perfect function if you need to create highly specific number strings like 02:45:87:95 for instance.
