  Sample input:
YYYYMMDD( KeyField,DateField )
  Sample output:
ABC 20060803

Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

Appending YYYYMMDD to a file name, such as a report, will enable the cronological sorting of the files in a folder. This will be especially useful in FMP 8 where you can save as PDF or Excel. The definition can also be copied and used in a script. The File extension is not included assuming Filemaker will add it.
