  Sample input:
Text field contains Text and [goal: Now is the time for all good men...] and more text.
  Sample output:
Text and text between square brackets highlighted by custom functions...

Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

I needed a way to remove all formatting from a text field then add back colored text between square brackets.

I combined Ray Cologon's https://www.briandunning.com/cf/13 and Doug Elam's https://www.briandunning.com/cf/1217 custom functions into the above with the use of the Let function.

The auto enter calc does nothing if more than one [goal] tag is inserted in the text field (by design). When [goal] is input the text "goal" is hi lighted and also when [goal: any random text] is input whatever is between the square brackets is highlighted. note: any text without the 'goal' inserted between square brackets is ignored.

My apologies if this must be rejected because it is NOT in itself a custom function, but only an example of combining two excellent custom functions into an auto enter calculation using the Let statement.
