  Sample input:
TimeAsText ( GetAsTime ( "15:05" ) )
  Sample output:
3:05 PM

Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

When a time is combined into a calc with other text, the result needs to be text. As such, you cannot use FileMaker's built-in layout time formatting to properly format the time in a layout field object. The default is for FMP to show time in a 24-hour format. This function provides a simple means of always showing the time in a 12-hour format.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've been searching the Filemaker Tech site for an answer to show the time value in a Variable without showing seconds. I couldn't find an answer until I stumbled accross you custom function. It was perfect.
