a) Celery
b) Popsicle
c) Coke
d) Ice Cream

Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

I find this useful when presenting lists in custom dialogs and having the user select a particular value in that list -- prefixing a number pattern of 1, 2, 3 or a letter pattern of a, b, c makes it much easier for them to pick out particular items.

Specifying "abc" as the Format will return a list of up to 26 values -- prefix, only. Specifying "123" will return any number of values in the list. Specifying any other character(s) will return that list with the character prefixed.

As for the name, i couldn't think of anything else -- and the % at the end should be a ")" not sure what's going on there.
