Substitute_with_List ( Text ; substitution_list ; pair_delimiter )

substitute multiple values in a text using a list of substitution pairs.

  Sample input:
Substitute_with_List ( "The cat is jumping up the sofa." ; "cat|dog¶jumping|running¶sofa|road¶up|down" ; "|" )
  Sample output:
"The dog is running down the road."

  Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

substitute multiple values in a text using a list of substitution pairs.

"cat|dog¶
jumping|running¶
sofa|road"

the standard delimiter is ";". you shall define any other delimiter.

the CF seem not to work properly with FMPA 12.
(but no problems found with FMPA15)
Paragraphs contained by the input text are masked now and demasked in the end.
