  Sample input:
FYQ (12; 16; 6/16/2013 )
  Sample output:
3Q2013

Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

This the calculate the Fiscal Quarter for any start date. Typically a quarter starts on the first day of the month. However, I have a client that does not. Nor does it have to. All the calcs, I found assume a start date of the first. So I use an date offset method to calculate the Quarter.

Couldn't really follow your method, but the results are not what one would expect:

FYQ (1; 1; 1/1/2013) returns "1Q14" - expected "1Q13".

FYQ (7; 1; 12/30/2013) returns "2Q14" but FYQ (7; 1; 12/31/2013) returns "3Q14" - although both dates are in the same 2nd Q.
