  Sample input:
FormatTimestamp( Get( CurrentTimeStamp ); "%a, %b %d, %Y" )
  Sample output:
Thu, Oct 21, 2010

Function definition: (Copy & paste into FileMaker's Edit Custom Function window)

Read the man page for the date tool for the flags that were used. %Z (time zone offset) isn't supported at this time, but if anyone has suggestions for how to do so without plugins or being platform specific, let me know.
